Grease it well, and put the dough in for the second rise. It will rise to fill up the tin (making the buns uniformly round).

I learned this trick from my mom - and it works very well!Julie VWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13830454704609365541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7940050171959782343.post-69747245834925974362010-01-13T20:49:06.585-05:002010-01-13T20:49:06.585-05:00I made this recipe tonight. It sounds like something...That is so funny, Megan! It sounds like something I would have done! I started baking bread from scratch several months ago and I wish I had pictures of some of my "creations". The other day, I tried Ciabatti for the first time. The loaves came out so puny that I thought I had surely done it wrong, but they were very good and DH said they're supposed to be thin. OK then! Everybody has been begging for more, so I have the second try (a double batch) rising in a bowl right now to be baked later today. :o)

I will have to try the bun recipe. My MIL used to make home-made buns too. Well, that's what the recipe said they were, but we ate them like rolls.

BTW, I homeschool too. I have 3 kiddos: 15 (girl), 10 (boy), and 6 (boy).

Blessings,
CaraAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7940050171959782343.post-89639778028460296922010-01-12T13:39:37.951-05:002010-01-12T13:39:37.951-05:00I love it! I was just talking about not buying buns and making them...now I have a recipe!Mrs. Efirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11041661245411251957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7940050171959782343.post-35999678349327252872010-01-12T09:27:13.906-05:002010-01-12T09:27:13.906-05:00Sometimes food ain't pretty around here either...Sometimes food ain't pretty around here either, but we have come to know that you can't judge a book by it's cover! hahaha!

This summer we will probably do the hamburger/ hot dog buns (we don't have those 'till summer time usually...). Keep working on it! This is a good example that just because you don't get it perfect on the first try, doesn't mean you can't try again! Don't give up!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05220363100904875087noreply@blogger.com
