  3. I can't look at a Crayola box without having wonderful memories from my childhood. I loved the big 64 count boxes!

    ReplyDelete
  4. My kids love Crayola products. When they were younger, they would spend hours coloring and painting with water colors. They would then set up an Art Museum in their bedrooms. Admission Tickets were 5 cents. A small price to pay to see the pleasure on their faces as we admired each piece of art!

  12. I love Crayola too, a friend of mine who doesn't even have kids had a product I had never even seen before. The Color Wonder PAINT! OMG! I so want (and will) get this for son for his third birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I'm at the party too!!

I'd love to try the color wonder finger paints. My 3 yr old would love them.

    Anyone tried them???

    ReplyDelete
  16. we just got the outdoor spray chalk and can't wait to try it! thx to christmas in july swap

    ReplyDelete
  17. Spray chalk that sounds interesting... never heard of it but it sounds like it'd be a hit around here!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Seriously ... there's just something great about the BIG box of crayons.

    ReplyDelete
  19. We've been buying crayons now since they're so cheap and melting them! We break them into pea-sized pieces, "bake" at 150* in cupcake tins, and once they've melted down, pull them out, let them cool, and voila! Big, thick, chunky crayons that are easy for my 14-month-old to hold! If you mix a few complimentary colors, you get big "swirly" crayons!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Love it Kimber! that sounds soo fun!! My kids would love it!

    ReplyDelete
  21. We just got some star-shaped silicone muffin tins at Michaels - using a coupon, of course - and I'm going to "bake" some crayons in them! The five prongs will give lots of nice pointy space to work with! :o) These could make a great party favor, I'm thinking! I bet your kids would enjoy the fun shapes. If you google "meling crayons" you can get tons of ideas, like using cookie cutters instead of muffin tins.

    ReplyDelete
  22. love me some washable markers...best thing that ever happened to my couches! lol

    ReplyDelete
  23. Make airplanes out of popsicle sticks!! My boys would love that!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Crayola Window Markers. Kids would love that. Might give 3 yr old the wrong idea that it's okay to marker all over the window. But it'd be fun!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Lots of great back to school sales

    ReplyDelete
  26. MamaBearMills love your ideas! Thanks for your comments!

thanks everyone keep them coming! I love to have a log of ideas to come back too!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Christmas is coming... fast I'm afraid and with my mind I'll forget all these great ideas!

    ReplyDelete
  28. crayola dreammakers help teachers with learning

    ReplyDelete
  29. Card making is always fun with little ones. Give them a few art supplies (crayons, markers, stickers) and some paper and scissors, and let them go to town! Fun for them to make, and fun for someone to get in the mail a few days later! I used to do this with my niece while I scrapbooked. She liked feeling like she was able to do "big girl" stuff, and I loved having her there.

    ReplyDelete
  30. crayola is very affordable too. they don't break my BTS bank

    ReplyDelete
  31. i will be featuring recycled crayons for the Back to school bash at my blog! woot woot

    ReplyDelete

    roseinthemorning [at] gmail [dot] com

    roseinthemorning [at] gmail [dot] com

    ReplyDelete

    roseinthemorning [at] gmail [dot] com

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm gearing up for back to school by looking at the brand new-to-me curriculum that someone generously placed in my lap. (We homeschool.)

    roseinthemorning [at] gmail [dot] com

    ReplyDelete
  39. I loved the big 64 count boxes, and also the ones with 128 or so... that had the sharpener in the back. :)

    roseinthemorning [at] gmail [dot] com

    ReplyDelete
  40. My kids tend to cause the Crayola boxes to fall apart, so we use empty baby wipe containers (the kind that hold about 80 wipes) to hold crayons. :)

    roseinthemorning [at] gmail [dot] com

    ReplyDelete
  41. I would never buy crayons if they weren't from crayola!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm hoping to figure out how to melt old broken crayons into cool shapes. I did that when I was younger and know my kids would love it!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I love being able to give my 2 year old son Crayola Wonder markers and not worry about him coloring on the bed.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I love pulling out all the different shades of one color and have my son (and me :) draw a picture all in blue (or whatever color we chose). It really makes fun pictures. And the huge box of crayola crayons is the only way we could do that.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I've printed off lots of pictures and activity pages from crayola's website for my boys to color in church to keep them quiet.

    ReplyDelete
  46. My son recently got 3D chalk from his grandma. Unfortunately he though that meant whatever he drew would jump up at him. Guess 3D is too difficult a concept for a 3 year old to get. :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. My son loves to draw. . .he would have a blast with this pack!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Crayola is our favorite brand! They make the best stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I would love to try the window crayons.

    ReplyDelete
  50. The more colors the better. I loved the huge box with the sharpener

    ReplyDelete
  51. do people say 'the bomb' anymore??? I guess now.. they do rule though. :)

    ReplyDelete
  52. What a neat giveaway! Our family does so much for fun - walks and hikes, swimming, horseback riding, riding 4 wheelers and dirtbikes, cooking and baking, playing in the yard, snowboarding and skiing, riding bikes, you name it, we do it! Thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I remember in school we used to be so competitive over our crayons...the kid with the biggest box of crayolas was the coolest, the more the better...the kids with the bigger boxes had those coveted colors that you didn't get with the 24 count...and when they started putting that crayon sharpener in the back...heaven for a 5th grader!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I went through the fluorescent color stage too, those crayons were so neat! I'm glad I outgrew that though!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I have two girls, 3 years and 18 months. Right now to have fun we enjoy catching bugs and creating. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Crayola is the best. We code our presents at Christmas time (6 children) and one of my favorites was buying the huge box of crayolas (I think 96 count) and put a crayon on each present instead of a tag with a name. Then I kept the list of who was which color. Classic!
    sgpete@gmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  60. right now, my little one really enjoys puzzles....over and over again

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  79. I love to get on the Crayola website and to use their printables. I recently copied off a bunch of great pages for my son and my niece when we drove from Indiana to Florida. It helped alot!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Actually from the Crayola site with the printables, I copied off a page that had a map of the states. And I had the kids color each state as we went through it, and we learn which state came next. I think my 4 year old could now tell you how to get from Indiana to Florida!

    ReplyDelete
  81. I think I would LOVE to try melting crayons into different shapes but just haven't done it yet! I have some great molds to try them in too... Maybe since crayons are getting so cheap again...

    ReplyDelete
  82. Megan, you are brave for wanting to try the window markers! I don't think I am THAT brave!

    ReplyDelete
  83. I've posted about this on Winning Readings:

    http://winningreadings.blogspot.com/2009/07/crayola-creativity-pack_30.html

  101. My daughter received some Crayola markers from her grandmother that we didn't like. They were from the Crayola Beginnings line, and they were surprisingly hard for her to use. I emailed Crayola that I was disappointed in them, and they apologized and sent me tons of coupons for Crayola products!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Souper Salad (in Chattanooga, TN) gives out Crayola crayons with their kid's menus. I HATE it when restaurants give my daughter the cheap crayons (and almost all of them do, even NICE restaurants) that break and get all over her clothes because they flake off the paper in little colored chunks!

    ReplyDelete
  103. I melt down broken Crayola crayons in the oven in heart-shaped silicon molds to make cute heart crayons for my daughter.

    nancyecdavis AT bellsouth DOT net

    ReplyDelete
  127. Do any of you let your kids use the Crayola bath tub crayons or markers? We did at the old house, but I'm scared to at our new house. I'm afraid they will leave a stain around my tub! Silly, I know. I'll get over it eventually.
