Romans 3:23

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10: 9-10
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Romans 10:13
for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

This is a tough one! Well, all the fruits of the spirit are tough, but
this one really gets me! -- especially when it comes to the kids!
They just find a way to push all the buttons, ya know.....

But it's certainly one that, with God's
help we can all work on. (I know I can!)

My footnotes say..
Christian character is produced by the Holy Spirit, not by the mere discipline of trying to live by law. The indwelling Holy Spirit produces Christian virtues in the believer's life.

In the coming weeks I think I'll take these "fruits of the spirit" one by one and look up verses on each one.
I think as humans it's impossible to have these "fruits" all the time , but we should strive and improve ourselves toward that goal with the Holy Spirit's help!!

2 things have been on my heart lately..

I'm trying to teach my kids this principle.
(and myself of course!)
If we get this through our head, everything
we do takes on new meaning. It's a lot easier
to be happy and to do the things we
need to do each day!

I was NOT put here on this
earth to serve ME..

It doesn't matter if I don't like it, or if
it bothers me, or if I don't want to...
I Serve Christ and I Serve Others...

When I tell my kids to clean up, I often hear
"but I didn't make the mess"
Well my response is now...
"Serve Christ, Serve Others
are you mentioned there?? (no) Then it doesn't matter
who made the mess, clean it up
to serve Christ and to serve others"...

Any thoughts???
