Practical Tip Tuesday

It's time! Tuesday is Here! Can't wait to read all your tips....
If you've never joined in, don't be shy! Just link to me at the bottom.
Your tip can be anything practical or not so practical!
All I ask is keep it family friendly!
-----------------
My tip this week is about coupons! I know big surprise right!
My tip is to contact companies to get some great coupons.
-----
It's really quite simple. Just go here (when you get there scroll down to 2nd post) to Hot Coupon World. They've done all the work for us. Just click on the name of a company in that post and it will take you right to the correct page. Fill out the form and submit. You can either praise an item, complain if you have a legit complaint, or just tell them you'd love to try the product. At the bottom of your comment, just tell them that if they ever send out coupons you'd love to have some!
-----
I've done it about 10 times! I have gotten 4 coupons for free products and several other coupons that have doubled or tripled to result in free products. It's very worth the time it takes to do it. I have no idea why I don't do it more. It's so fun to get those envelopes in the mail! It was fast to, most of them I got within 2 weeks of submitting!
If you love coupons, I encourage you to give it a try!
-----
Okay now it's your turn! Lets hear your tips...

Practical Tip Tuesday!

It's Tuesday again!! Hope you have your tips ready! I thought you all had great tips last week! Remember ANY tip goes whether practical or not. I wanna hear them all!!

------

Here's my problem--grocery bags stuffed under the sink that are out of control and take up way too much space.....see...

Answer...Use an empty kleenex box and stuff the bags in the box. I was able to stuff 30 plastic bags into the kleenex box! It worked great...and I was able to pull out just 1 bag at a time.

(I know I should be green and not use plastic bags but at this point in my life I'm not!!!)
I use my plastic bags to tie stinky diapers in. (hopefully not much longer)
I also use them to put food in when I clean out the fridge.
It minimizes leaks if I put them in 3-4 bags and tie!
---------------
Well that's my tip to control those unruly bags!! What tips do you have this week.
Just link below, I can't wait to read them!
--------
Have a great Day!!

Practical Tip Tuesday

It's Tuesday again!! Does anyone have any tips??? Keep in mind your tips can be anything even if you don't think of them as "practical" We still want to hear them!!
Leave your link below!
----------------------
Mine this week is to save your paper towels and wash your windows with...

Yep Newspapers!!
I was reading this online last week. I know I've heard of this before but have never really tried it. Well I tried it and I love it!! It really does work the only bad thing is that it makes your hands a little black... no big deal to me it washes right off! It leaves no streaks and no lint on the window like paper towels do. And best all it saves paper towels! I always have PLENTY of newspapers on hand since I get 4 Sunday papers each week. Why not put them to good use !
---------
This will come in very handy with Spring Cleaning coming up!!
----------------------
I really enjoyed your tips last week and can't wait to hear what you came up with this week! Just leave your link below or you can also leave a comment.
---------
Also if you have always wondered if there's a better way of doing something you can also leave a question and maybe someone will have an answer next week!!

Practical Tip Tuesday!

Hope you have your tips ready cuz it's time!!
Here's my tip...
--------------
Cook your hamburger 1 pound at a time.
-------------------------------
This tip might be obvious, but I didn't always do it this way.
(btw this tip is only useful if you use less than a pound when cooking most meals like I do.)
I used to buy my hamburger and then split into 1/3 lb. packages and freeze it uncooked. Then when I pulled it out I would always have to take time to cook it.
-----------------
Now I just throw it into the freezer when I get home from the store. (No time taken to split it up.) Then as I need hamburger I cook the entire pound. Use what I need usually 1/3 pound. Then I let the rest cool while I make the meal. Last I put the cooked meat into 2-3 baggies and freeze.
The next time I need hamburger it's ready!! Just pull it out and defrost for 20-30 seconds and you're done.
-----------------------------------
I also want to let you know that this is what I use to cook my hamburger. This is the Large Micro-cooker from Pampered Chef. It is one of the BEST $10. I've ever spent for the kitchen.
I love it and use it often to cook hamburger.
If the meat is frozen I usually defrost for a couple minutes. Then I simply put the hamburger in the container put the lid on and cook in the microwave for 2 min. Then I use some paper towels to get most of the grease out and chop it up with a turner. Then return it to the microwave for another 2 min. You may need to get the grease out again and chop. Put it in for 1 more minute. That's it! It should be done!! I think this is soooo much easier than frying in a pan on the stove!
---------------
-------------------------
Well it's your turn. What tips have you come up with this week. Leave your link below!!
Thanks for participating and remember you're welcome to use my banner (just right click to save)! Click here if you're not sure how to link.

Practical Tip Tuesday

I know it's not Tuesday!! But...I'm thinking about starting a Practical Tip Tuesday Series... If I can figure out mister linky, I'm going to post it and then everyone can make a post on your blog and link from here...
-----------------------
I'm thinking your tips can be anything. Coupons, groceries, cooking, kids, gardening (I'm gonna need lots of tips as I'm starting my first this Spring!) , baby, spiritual, organizing, homeschooling, household, or whatever else you think up....keep it G rated if possible!!
--------------------------
So is anyone interested?? I feel like everyone has their ways of doing things. If we share them that may help make it easier for someone else! Let's face it, we can all use all the practical tips we can get to make our households run smoother. I know I could learn a TON from all of you. Even if there's only 30-50 people who read this!!
----------------------
But this is going to be silly if no one will link!! So will you do it?? Get your ideas ready for Tuesday!! I'll try it for at least 6 weeks even if no one links!!
------------------------
You can even use the banner I made. I know it's kinda silly but so am I!! You can just right click it and save it to your computer and use it just like any other picture!
--------------------------
Here's a tip to get everyone started.
Don't water your house plants every week!
Okay so I have been guilty of this for my first 11 years of owning plants. And I pretty much killed everyone of those poor plants. So just last year I was finally told that most plants only need water every 4-6 weeks....WHAT!! Well I guess it's true because I have finally kept a plant alive for a year and it's still going!!! Now why wasn't I told that 20 plants ago??? Such a simple little tip and I'm sure everyone else knew that!!!
