We try to only use olive oil, butter, or coconut oil at
our house. None of which is cheap...
So when I saw that Meijer (yea I still keep an eye on them esp.
when I'm going to be in town anyway!)
had their Pompeian Olive Oil on sale 50% off ($2.99)
stacked with a Mealbox $2. coupon (unlimited prints)
Makes them .99 cents for a 16 oz bottle of
Extra Virgin Olive Oil!
AWESOME!!

And if that's not cheap enough you
can print this coupon and get 1-2 for FREE!!
with the $1./1 MQ
For that price I'll even overlook the plastic bottle (grrr)

I had 1 - $1. MQ and 6 Mealbox coupons
so I paid $5.00 for 6 Olive Oils!!

Also in picture is Campbells Mushroom soup
on sale for .59 use $1./4 MQ printable here.
Total for 8 was $2.72 (.34 each).
I don't use these very much but they're handy in
a few meals I occasionally make!

Oh and the Red Wine Vinegar was on sale for $1.89
use a .50/1 Printable here, doubled made it .89 cents.
I love to use this in one of my chicken marinades!

Not pictured was 2 - 3 packs of yeast
On sale for .99 cents - .40 MQ doubled = .19 cents each!

Total at Meijer was around $9.00
It felt pretty good to use some coupons today!!

Catalina Break through!!... For me anyway!!

I was talking to my friend Erica at Church who told me that
Meijer will accept Walgreens Register Rewards!

Maybe you all knew this but in 2 years of
couponing, I've never known this!
The Register Rewards are Manufacturer coupons
and will scan just like any other coupon.

This changes Walgreens
a lot for me!

Here's why...
I often skip getting the Walgreen's Free after
RR (register reward) deals because I can't always find
something worth while to spend the RR on at Walgreen's.
So it actually makes me spend more on a weekly basis.

Take for instance last week at Walgreen's
Dove body care- $5.99 get 5.99 RR
Vitamin Lip Care -- $1.99 get 2 RR
----
Spend $8. get 8 RR back
I didn't get these items because it would have been $8.00 oop
that I didn't have to spend.
However... Most weeks I go to Meijer and spend at least $20.

So... if I go to Walgreens and spend $8. for those products.
Then proceed to do my normal shopping and use the Walgreens
catalina. I will spend the same in the end only I will get the
freebies at Walgreens too.

Does that even make sense????
My brain is still on low Weekend usage!!!!

At Meijer this week Teddy Grahams
are on sale for $2.00

There is a Mealbox coupon here
for $1./3 Nabisco Snack Cracker
and there are many
$1./1 or $2./2 Nabisco Snack Crackers

After using the MQ and the Mealbox
You can get each box for only .67 cents
Great Deal!!

So the question is
Are Teddy Grahams Crackers or Cookies???

My cashier at Meijer thought cookies (at first)...

The scanner wouldn't take the coupon (just
like it doesn't like many coupons for no reason)
So he said it was because they were cookies
not crackers. I didn't say anything. Then the
pizza coupon wouldn't work so he went and checked
the item. He couldn't find anything wrong, so he
pushed it through. (proof the scanner doesn't know everything)

When he was done with the (big) stack, I told him
to just take the 6 boxes of Teddy Grahams off.
(no way was I paying $2. per!!)
So he scrolled up and found them, then stopped.
He said "Is this them?"
I said "yes". He looked again it said "GRAHAM CRK"
Hmmm what could CRK stand for...
CRACKER!!!

He still didn't believe it and took it over to the
customer service desk to get their opinion.
In a minute he was back and said
"Yes, we'll accept them."

I tell you this in case you're buying them this week!
BE PREPARED!!!
They are a snack "cracker" know as graham crackers
and you should be able to use the coupons. (IMO)

~Of course as always, it's up to the store to accept it.~

Anyone else have success or
