Learning Link Technologies

I started an ongoing review of Learning Link a few months
ago. You can check out the first post here.

We're still plugging away at the levels. We are doing level 3
right now. I'm not sure there is much progress to report
yet. I think the program says that it could take 6 months or
more to start to see results.

I did want to pass along to you that they
have updated their free online assessment tests
for Dyslexia and for Dyscalculia.
You can access them here and here!

I will be reporting again in a
couple of months!

I received the opportunity to try out
Learning Link Technologies brain retraining program!
This program is for all sorts of learning Disabilities.

My 12 yr old son is my main target with this program.
I do believe that he has Dyslexia.
He is not a great reader, often switches letters around,
hates to sound out words, several other dyslexia symptoms,
but probably the biggest one is VERY POOR spelling skills.
I gave him their assessment test here (pdf form here)
and he definitely missed more than he should have
and there was several signs that made it obvious!

I have only used the 1st month of this program, so
I've not seen much of an improvement yet.
The company says is usually takes a good 3 months to see results.

I am hoping to be able to continue to use
this program and give you updates
every 2 months or so. If you have a child
that is struggling with learning, I would definitely
recommend visiting their site here and checking it out.
They have tons of info on there that might shed some
light on a way to help your child out too!

Speekee Online Spanish Program Review

I was offered the chance to review the
Speekee Spanish Online Program!
I jumped at the chance since I've been looking for
a way for my daughter (10) to begin learning Spanish.

She is only on lesson 2 (ready to start lesson 3).
We have been doing 1 lesson per week.
There are 10 lessons total.

She simply sits by the computer and watches an online video
for around 15-20 minutes. I have her repeat the same
video everyday for a week.

She's really loving it, and reminds me that it's Spanish time.
Along with each video there are anywhere from 2 - 7
worksheets that you can print out to reinforce what she
is learning on the video.

Rubbermaid Reveal Mop Review and Giveaway

I don't have an actual mop. My mop involves my
daughter to take a bucket of water and get
down on her hands and knees and scrub away.
I know, how mean am I!?!?!?

worthless and messy plus before this house I

Spencer's Jerky Review from Jerky.com

I got the chance to try out some more jerky from jerky.com!!
(If you want to read my last review of Pineapple Jerky go here!)

This time they sent me Spencer's Jerky.
There were two kinds: Orange Beef Jerky and Mango Beef Jerky.
They were really good however they were SPICY!! Maybe I'm
just whimpy because everyone else thought they were perfect.

I had several people try them and everyone agreed
it was really good jerky. But beware, they are a little spicy,
or in my opinion, very spicy!!

Of course they also have regular beef jerky if you don't like the spicy!
On the other hand if you love really spicy, you might try their hot!!

If you want to get away from the beef kind, try
their section of Turkey Jerky!

I would definitely say that they have a huge variety and
pretty good prices too. Be sure to check them out!

I can see how you could get hooked and check this often!

They have categories from clothing and shoes to
electronics and Computers.
They even have a huge category filled with kids stuff!
I think my daughter would love this sewing machine...
maybe next year for Christmas!

Smelly Washer Review and Giveaway

If you have a Stinky Washing Machine this is the product for you!
I was sent a bottle from smelly washer
to test out and it worked!

It's so simple to use!
All I did was put a capful of smelly washer in my washer. Put the temp on hot and started it up. I let it agitate for about 4 minutes and then stopped it and let it soak overnight. In the morning I let it finish its cycle.
When it was done, there was some gunk on the bottom that I just wiped out. I smelled the machine and it was better!! Not completely gone yet but better. Their site says it might take several times initially to get it completely gone. Then it only takes about 1 capful per month to keep the smell away.
I have to wonder if the washer where we "clean" our clothes smells -- then something in there is not "clean"... Right???

that have that stinky mildew smell on them too.
I didn't try this since our towels don't really smell anymore
since using the laundry ball.

I plugged in the usb, which by the way flips out from the camera no cords, and within 1 minute I was viewing the videos on her computer! So EASY!!!

So I tested it...
I am in need of a router for my computer.

Piggy Paint Review and Giveaway

My daughter was so excited when I told

I was thrilled when they sent some of their organic baby product to try out!

Let me just say they smelled heavenly!!

I was sent several of these products in the

coconut scent.

One of the products was the coconut hand sanitizer. My 3yr. old rarely lets me put anything on his hands and he hates to have his hands wiped with a wet wipe. So I tried this and this time he loved it, he kept bringing me the bottle. I would put it on and he would just start smelling them! I was happy because he had clean hands and he's happy with the awesome coconut smell. It was also the perfect size to slip into my purse for shopping days!

I was also sent the Shampoo & Body Wash. Their site says that this is food grade! It's so nice to know I'm not putting chemicals on my children's heads! It cleaned beautifully and was soft and gentle. I also loved that it came in a pump bottle and the soap came out as a foam! So convenient.

The other products I received I passed on to my SIL's to try out since I don't have a little baby anymore. They both just had a baby! One is 3 mo. old and the other is 3 weeks old!

Shannon tried the Baby Organic Coconut Baby Oil. It says it is great for eczema and cradle cap. She tried it on cradle cap and said that after only one application her baby's head was much better. She of course also commented on the wonderful coconut scent!

Genesa tried the Shea Butter Diaper Cream. Her kid's bottoms weren't real bad right now but she still saw improvement and loves the all natural ingredients. Other diaper creams claim to be all natural but arn't. In looking at the ingredients of the Shea Butter it actually is all natural!
