Also used a .60 coupon loaded to my card for Nature Valley here

My area is actually participating this time. I think it's been at least 6 months since the kmart closest to me has done the Super Doubles.

If your not sure .... this means that Kmart will double any coupon up to and including $2. -- So a $2. coupon means $4. off the item. -- Find all your high dollar coupons and get to Kmart!!

The ad says it starts April 19-25

Ad details state that there is a limit of 25 coupons per customer per day.

And they will double up to 4 like coupons.

Weekly Groceries!

I thought this was a pretty average week! I definitely got some good deals and

only spent $48.90 for all this!

I bought some milk earlier in the week at CVS with overage and a gift card.

I am also planning on going to Kroger for an extra trip to do the General Mills & Milk deal, read about it here. It's a good one. Be sure to check if your area is participating!

Okay here's the breakdown...

I spent $26.22 at Kroger for 28 items. Saved $26.22 (50%)

And $22.68 at Meijer for 27 items. Saved $28.41

Total spent was $48.90 for 55 items or .89 cents/item

saved $54.63 which means this would normally cost me $103.53 without sales and coupons!

I have about $6.00 left of my $55. budget to buy pork chops at our local butcher and to do the GM deal at Kroger. I think this is very possible because Kroger will only cost about $2.50 and pork chops should only be a few dollars!

Wow here are some awesome verses. Part of this is from my Daily Dose today. It struck me hard so I thought I would elaborate on it a little here!

2 Corinthians Chapter 4 verses 16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Wow I read that and then read it about 5 more times. This is 3 verses to review daily!

This is what it says to me...

Don't give up. Though our human bodies are going to die. Inwardly we are renewed daily by God. Our troubles here on earth don't matter at all because the eternal glory of God out weighs them. So focus everyday on God who is not seen because everything that we see will pass away!

Homeschool Review - Bible Class

Many of you know I home school! I have a 4th grader, 2nd/3rd grader, and a kindergartner. ( I also have an almost 3 yr old).
I thought, as school winds down and I think of curriculum for next year, it would be fun to share what we use for each of our school subjects.

My first subject to review is Bible Class.
I use...

Bible Study for all ages is a great program! I love that it has different student books for different aged kids. There is a book for 3yr- K, 1st-3rd, 4th-6th. I use these more like k-2nd, 3rd-4th, and 5th-6th. You can use them for whatever ages works for you! All of the books are working on the same story even tho they are made for different levels. So you can teach all the kids in your home school at the same time and they can all understand.

You will need a student booklet for each student unless you want them to share, which I think is very possible and I may do that next year to cut a little cost. Each student booklet costs $6.95 but only covers 26 lessons. So for Teachers Guide 1 (lessons 1-104) there are 4 student booklets.
**
You will also need to purchase a Teacher's Guide. There are 4 guides total. In each guide is 104 lessons. You can go through them at your own pace. I think each guide is $29.95. I have only bought one and it will last 2 years.
The teachers Guide has everything done for you- there is no planning you have to do. First you read a chapter or 2 from the Bible. Then there are questions in the teachers guide to answer together. Then they do their booklets to review the story again. They also learn books of the Bible and many other things along with the stories.

I know you can find ways to teach Bible class a lot cheaper, but I don't find the time to make up my own lessons. This program works really good for us and I feel that my kids, along with me, are really starting to learn our Bibles, and that's very important to us!
