Cool & Easy Pie & Share Your Recipes!

Cool & Easy Strawberry Pie

This pie really was super easy and
absolutely delicious!
Hubby wasn't sure about it,
but after he tried it he was sold and wanted more!!

All you need is
2/3 cup boiling water
1 pkg (4 serv. size) Jello brand straw. flavored Gelatin
Ice Cubes
1/2 cup cold water
1-- 8 oz. Tub Cool Whip
1 Graham Cracker Crust

Stir boiling water into dry gelatin mix in bowl. Stir at least
2 minutes or until dissolved.
Then add enough ice to the 1/2 cup cold water to make it
measure 1 cup. Add it to the Gelatin mixture.
Stir until slightly thickened then remove any unmelted ice.

Add Whip Topping and stir with a
whisk until well blended.
Refrigerate 15-20 min. or until mixture is
thick enough to mound

Spoon it into the crust.
Refrigerate for 4 hrs. or overnight.
Serve with extra whip topping if desired!
Store leftovers in the fridge.

Weekly Groceries

It was nice to do some shopping this week
after skipping last week!
It went well!
All this for
$44.77

At Meijer I spent $18.03 for 24 items saving $44.30
At Kroger I spent $26.74 for 36 items saving 45%

Total I spent $44.77 for 60 items or .75 cents per item
You don't see meat in the pic because I get all that from our local butcher. Our weekly budget is around $55. so I have plenty to get the meat we need.
I also get most of our milk from CVS. Here is my trip this week including milk. I will probably have to go get another gallon or 2.

Can't wait to shop Kroger next week

You type in the zip code of the area you are going to be shopping in. Then type what you are looking for in the search. It then finds the items, tells you exactly which stores have that item, and even tells you the price so you know exactly where you need to go before ever leaving the house. I know I've spent time comparing prices. And when I don't compare, I'm always wondering if there was a better deal at another store.

So I tested it...
I am in need of a router for my computer.
I typed in the zip code of the nearest big city where I would shop for it. I found out that the cheapest one is $34.99 at Best Buy and the same router that I currently use is $59.99 at both Best Buy and Radio Shack. I did all this in about 3 minutes!!!

Things I Love Thursday

Once again I love my

kids Imagination!!!
This is their new Pine Tree Club!
New and Improved!!!
They're enjoying a pitcher of Kool Aid on a HOT day!!
Their Grandpa helped them put the
2nd story of pallets on safely.
Everything else they did themselves!!

They spend a lot of time here fixing their house!

And of course no fort is complete without a satellite dish.

I got a kick out of that one!

Do you think this is the same boy???

One picture he's squinting and one he's not right....

Well since I asked the question, I'm sure you figured out.

This is two different boys!

The top one is Micah a few years ago and the

bottom is Shad my 3 yr. old now.

I was looking through old pictures and I saw the top

picture and thought it looked exactly like Shad.

I showed Shad and he insisted it was him.

I asked Micah and he said confidently that it was Shad.

WOW!! I knew they looked alike but SHEESH!!!!

Update - my Husbands Uncle is doing better but still in the hospital and is going to have a long road to recovery. Please continue to pray

My BIL's Mom is not doing any better. She's on a vent and fighting a lot of infection.
