Walgreens 11-22

Check out It's hip to Save here
for all the Walgreen's Deals this week!

I'm definitely going to pick up the
Ritz Crackers...
I'm hoping the store has the $1./2 Diabetes Booklet.
If they do then the transaction will look like this...

Buy 5 boxes of Ritz Crackers @ $2. each = $10.
use 2 - $1./1 MQ (that's all I have (can use 5)) = $8.
Use 2 - $1./2 Diabetes Booklet Coupon = $6. total
Then get 3 RR back =
Final cost $3.00 for 5 boxes!
If you happen to have 5 of the $1./1 coupons your
final cost would be FREE for 5 boxes !!SWEET!!!
***
The Tomato Soup is then a good deal to stock
up on using your $3. RR from the Ritz transaction

Buy 12 cans @.59 cents (use coupon in ad to get this price)
Total $7.08-
Use 3 - $1./4 MQ here = $4.08
- use $3. RR =
Final cost $1.08 for 12 cans Campbells Tomato Soup
((((Remember this scenario requires 2 transactions)))

So all totaled I hope to get 5 boxes Ritz and
12 cans Tomato Soup for
$7.08 *Not Bad!!*
**
*****
Also if you haven't printed the .75/1 Kleenex MQ here
then you can use it at Walgreens this week.
.89 cents with ad coupon -.75/1 printable = .14 cents!

Let us know if you see anything else!

CVS 11-22

Check out I heart CVS here for
all the deals this week.
You can see the ad scans here.

I don't see a whole lot this week....

But if you're interested
in a MP3 Player. (top left in pic)
They have a 4 GB Craig MP3 player with screen for
only $24.99 plus get $5. ECB= $19.99

My son got one very similar at ToysRUs a few months
ago and spent around $45. on it.
We were planning to get my daughter one for Christmas
so this is just the deal I'm looking for!

Also if you need any Christmas M&M's they
have them b1g1 which makes them $1.50 each
(not great but an okay deal)
Meijer had them 2/$5. last week so it's better than that!

Also Complete Solution is $8.99 get $8.99 ecb= FREE (limit 2)
$1./1 MQ would make them a Money Maker...
Unfortunately the print limit here has been reached. Keep
an eye on it though in case they reset it!

Let us know if you see anything else.

Weekly Groceries

I thought it was a good week!
I continue to max out my budget as I'm
continuing to stock up for December
when I take the month off from grocery shopping!

I will shop next week and then that's it until after
Christmas! (Except milk of course!)

This week I spent $21.xx at Meijer for about 45 items!
I didn't realize it was such a good week until I started
pulling and printing coupons.

I also spent $30. at Aldi and
Earlier in the week I spent $4. at CVS
for 4 gallons milk+.

I'm thinking 1 more good week of shopping
should do it... I'm trying to decide if the 30# of
potatoes I have is enough for a month?!?!?!?
I think we go through about 4-5# per week
so we should be good! (I hope!)

So how many #'s of potatoes does your
family go through in a week??

Psalm Chapter 82

Verse 8

Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are your inheritance.

sorry this is late today... My internet has been out (grrr)
It's back now so life is good!!!!

Finally she tells me...

My daughter came to me crying....

What's the matter I ask...
Reluctant, She finally tells.

She has a tooth coming in over 2 of her baby teeth.
She was scared to tell me because she knows it will
need to be pulled. The thought scares her greatly.
So she's been keeping it to herself for over a week.

Finally she tells me, we talk and she feels better.
I tell her no matter what she should come to me first.
It does no good to worry about it. To let the problem fester.
It only brings more worry, more fear, more unknown.

She came back and told me thank you again. She knew
everything would be alright even though she's still going to
face the dentist... We'll do it together...

As she left I felt a parallel. How many times do I wait, try
to deal with it myself, worry about something before I
finally take it to my Heavenly Father. Why not just
give it to him right away. Why do I worry? Why let problems fester?
If I Give it to the Lord
I'll feel peace.
Just like my daughter did when she let me know her secret!

~Another lesson I'm reminded to do with my Heavenly Father
as I teach my own precious children~

Our Lord will protect us...

I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name -- the name you gave me -- so that they may be one as we are one.

Psalm 41:2
The Lord will protect him and preserve his life; he will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.

Psalm 32:7
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

Sweet and Sour Meatball Recipe

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Here is the original recipe...

Here is what I did!!

1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
8 crushed Ritz Crackers
1 tsp. Seasoned Salt
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Mix together, form into meatballs, and put in crockpot
(It made 21 meatballs for me)

Next make the sauce
1 Can (20 oz) Pineapple (chunks or crushed)
1/2 cup water
1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
1/2 Cup packed brown sugar
3 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp seasoned salt
Mix together and pour over meatballs

Cook on high 4-5 hours or low 7-8
I served with potatoes, green beans, and applesauce.
It would also be really good served on rice!

We thought it was a pretty good recipe.
We'll definitely have it again!!

Moving...

I've debated whether to post about this and had pretty much decided not to.

However I kept feeling like I was hiding something if I didn't. I want to be transparent here, I want you all to know we're no where near perfect. We struggle and struggle in a lot of areas. But Even when life doesn't go as planned and even when you feel like all is lost. If you have Jesus it's no where near lost. Even if you mess up 100, 1000, a million times. He loves you and wants nothing more than for you to call out to him, to accept him in your heart, and to put your trust in him.
So here's what's been going on...

We're moving... (or I should say just moved)
Not exactly because we want to, but because we simply can't afford our house anymore. Our income has been going down for over a year now and it's just come to a point that we can't cut any more bills out except our house. We have some unsecured debt that has built up over the years mostly from our business and other unwise decisions. We're not proud of this and it hasn't helped our situation. But the main cause of all of this is income that has been cut by about 70%. So for now we're moving into my in-laws "Walkout basement home". I say "basement home" because it's fully furnished including FULL kitchen, washer/dryer, big pantry area, our own entry, and aprox.. 1300 sf. We have everything we need to live there completely independent and it's a beautiful place!

It will be tight for 6 of us but we're actually excited about the opportunity to get out of debt (assuming that work doesn't continue to go down).
We live in the middle of RV capitol and the economy around here has been crushed. My hubby's job is to install flooring (carpet & vinyl) He is paid per job. So when there isn't work he doesn't get paid. The store that he works from has went from around 20 installers to about 8 (and some of the 8 are very part time).

We're still trying to sell our house but it doesn't look good. We've had it on the market for almost 3 months and have only had 1 person look at it. If you could, pray it sells. I know it only takes 1 person but houses in this area are just not selling...

So there it is, that's what's going on.
I pray this doesn't hinder my testimony in any way here on Daily Essentials. We live for God but are obviously not perfect and have never claimed to be!!! We started a more frugal way of living a little over a year ago. That's when I started this site. Unfortunately it doesn't erase the years before. I hope this is an encouragement to anyone else out there struggling. God will provide all your needs according to his purpose and his will. We just need to let Him and lean on Him!

Things like this also make you remember what's important. We still have everything that's important. A Savior, Family, Health, Food, Roof, Clothes! Having our "own" is just an extra... I'm so thankful that God is providing so well for us and that He's given us so many Blessings.

And My God will meet all your needs according to his
glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 4:19
