Weekly Groceries

This week I made a stop at Aldi's.
I haven't been there in months but it looks like, thanks to Kroger closing, I'll be visiting more often. We'll see how things work out as I do a little grocery restructuring. I still have an option to go to Kroger in another town it's just not so convenient.
I also got an unconfirmed word that another Kroger around here is closing.
What's going on???
Anyway...
This picture cost me $43.89

At Aldi I spent $35.14 for 43 items
And at Meijer I spent $8.75 for 21 items
I had to get some Chlorine for our pool so I was able to
use a $5./$30 I got at Meijer last week even tho I didn't get
that many groceries!
Guess What... the Machine spit out another $5./$30 YIPEE
Love free food at Meijer
Anyone else been getting these $5./$30. coupons
or am I just lucky this time??

All together I spent
$43.89 for 64 items. or .69 cents per item
I also spent money at CVS for milk this week and I spent about $5. for toilet paper at Menards.
I'm only getting cold meat at the Butcher this week for a couple dollars So I think I stayed right at my $55. budget!

Luke Chapter 6
Verse 37
"Do not judge,
and you will not be judged.

Wow those verses are a lot to live up to.
How do we go about our daily lives and not judge?
I think the only way is to keep our eyes focused above
and not on what others are doing.

That Jesus did not relieve his followers of the need for discerning right and wrong, but he condemned unjust and hypocritical judging of others.

Another Prayer Request Update.
My husband's Uncle is back in the hospital.
He's doing okay now but needs prayer.

My BIL's Mother is still in the hospital and needs tons of prayer.
Also pray for the family, they are going on a month now of half living in the hospital. I can't imagine how hard that is on them and on their children.

It is hard in Revelation to just post 1 verse.
To be honest none of it makes much
sense and I think it's pretty much meant to be that way.
But we can still get things out of it on occasion!!!
Today I will just post the first verse. If the chapter doesn't make
a lot of sense to you, know you're not alone!!!

I have to tell you my Oldest Son Encourages me
so much to be in my Bible and to learn more.
It is amazing how well he knows his Bible. He just loves it
and I believe God has big plans for him.
He has a heart of GOLD!!

The other day we were in the car on the way to church. Somehow I brought up how far the East is from the West and hubby and I started discussing it. A little bit later Chi piped up and said here is the verse in the Bible that talks about it.
Psalm 103 verse 12
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
It's a very encouraging verse in its self.
But how many of us could find it with in minutes WITHOUT any concordance or reference of any kind.
I knew that verse was in the Bible but I would have no idea where. Maybe that says more about me but I believe these little hearts can retain and learn more of God's word than we might think!

He encourages me often with how much he knows and
makes me strive to know more!

I encourage all of you to make sure your kids are learning and reading God's word. You'll be amazed at how much their little minds can remember and know!

Smelly Washer Review and Giveaway

If you have a Stinky Washing Machine this is the product for you!
I was sent a bottle from smelly washer
to test out and it worked!

It's so simple to use!
All I did was put a capful of smelly washer in my washer. Put the temp on hot and started it up. I let it agitate for about 4 minutes and then stopped it and let it soak overnight. In the morning I let it finish its cycle.
When it was done, there was some gunk on the bottom that I just wiped out. I smelled the machine and it was better!! Not completely gone yet but better. Their site says it might take several times initially to get it completely gone. Then it only takes about 1 capful per month to keep the smell away.
I have to wonder if the washer where we "clean" our clothes smells -- then something in there is not "clean"... Right???

that have that stinky mildew smell on them too.
I didn't try this since our towels don't really smell anymore
since using the laundry ball.

Meal Plan Monday

We're starting our home school this week!
We always start off pretty slow and then
add in more subjects as we get into the
groove of things!

Monday-- Spaghetti
Tuesday -- Grilled Steak, potatoes, and veggies (didn't have last week)
Wednesday -- Grilled Hamburgers and pasta salad
Thursday -- Grilled Chicken, potatoes, Garden Salad
Friday -- Birthday Party
Saturday -- Pizza
Sunday -- Grilled Sloppy Dogs with Mac and Cheese

I just heard that it's actually supposed to be HOT
this week.... I'm not believing it. We just had the coolest
July in all of recorded time - like 107 years!

Crock pot Baked Potatoes...
Did you know you can do baked potatoes in the crock pot?
Just wrap them in foil and put them in the crock pot.
Cook all day on low or high 4-5 hours! Don't add water!
So Easy and NO OVEN!!!
