Spring Cleaning -- Outdoor area

This area likely won't stay like this for long!!

I guess it's lived in.....

with 4 kids!!!

We're DONE!! (well except for the weeks I failed... shhhh)

Spring Cleaning -- Outdoor area

This week at Beautiful2God we're cleaning our outdoor area.

Mine was crazy messy.

I got a head start and cleaned a little on Saturday.

Hey, I'm not failing another week!

These pics are of course before I cleaned! I will post after pics later in the week.

We had stuff setting everywhere from winter and of course the kids have to drag tons of toys up to this area! There are lots of leaves blown up against the house (they're hard to see in these pics, but they're there!). I feel confident I'll get this area DONE!!

Spring Cleaning - The Kitchen

Oh my... the list of assignments sounds overwhelming this week. Check it out here!

I really want to take everything out of my cupboards and wipe them down, but oh my that sounds like ALOT of work. I haven't done that since moving in almost 4 years ago so I suppose it's time! I'm going to try to fit it in, one cupboard at a time!

Here's my messy kitchen on a Monday Morning in the middle of school!

See the beautiful flowers on the counter? Those are from my sweet neighbor Morris, he just turned 80 this year and is still farming. He brings me lots of fresh produce during the summer and at every holiday he brings the kids goodies! We love good ol' Morris!!

Well I have my work cut out for me this week, We'll see how far I get. I'm not counting on getting it all done, but a good start would be nice!!

I plan on doing a deep cleaning including washing the walls, windows, spot cleaning the floors, dusting everything, cleaning the base boards, spot cleaning the furniture, and vacuuming everything including under the couch cushions. Wow, I think I'm tired already!!
Good thing I have able kids I can put to work!!
We'll see how far we get...

I included this picture because it's an area that has some clutter. I need to figure out something to do with the Wii remotes. I don't like them just sitting around.

I'm not sure my after pics will look much different, but if I get it all done it should be much cleaner on the inside!!

As you can see, there's not much to my entry way! This should make this week very easy for me. Which is a good thing since we're having a garage sale on Thurs. and Friday!
I plan to sweep, wash the floor, and clean the windows.
There's not much else to do with this area.

I'm also going to add the outside entry way. There is a little more work to do to this area. It needs a good cleaning and lots of shoes put away! We'll see if I can get this done too!

This week we were Spring Cleaning the Office Area. I got my desk area done!! I went through the drawers and threw out a whole garbage bag of trash!

It looks much better now!
I'm still working on my storage room, so I don't have any pics of it!

Spring Cleaning - Office Area

This is my office area (above pic). It has a roll top so you can't see the inside contents of the desk when it's down. It definitely needs some work and organizing. The desk is right inside our front door so the top usually becomes the catch all! We need to work on that!

I hate to post these horrible pics...but here they are!
Along with the desk area, I am also going to be working on our extra room. This used to be where my desk was. It also used to be where my 2 yr. old slept. We just moved him upstairs so now I can totally have my room back.
We don't have a garage or a basement so a storage room like this is badly needed!

We are having a garage sale next week so hopefully by Saturday this room will look very different!

I think I'm being optimistic this week, but I will just get as far as I can. I'm giving myself until Saturday to get this all done. So I will update then.

Potty Training - DONE

Here's my sweetie Pie! We started potty training exactly 1 week ago. I'm excited and proud to announce that it's done. He's potty trained totally! I can't hardly believe it went that quick and easy! He's been dry for 4-5 mornings and he is even going to the potty without me even knowing it! Great Job Shadrach!!

I chose this picture because we also moved him upstairs to his own big boy bed! He loves it although he still needs to learn the art of just going to sleep. He's like his sister... likes to go to bed late and sleep in! So with 2 other boys in his room, he likes to hang out with them instead of sleeping!

Well I'm off to start some more spring cleaning... Stay tuned for that...

Spring Cleaning -- Failed this week!

Yep I'll admit it... I didn't get done this week with the laundry room. Okay Okay I hardly got started!! I got 1/2 of the big closet done (the easy side) and I got the tops of the washer and dryer cleaned (I know whoopee). Yea I officially failed this week.

Oh well there's always next week right????

The Laundry Room

Well It's Spring Cleaning Week 5 and we're tackling the Laundry Room. I really considered skipping this week as I thought this area was under control... Then I looked, yep I better participate. It looks a little more scary than I thought! Especially the closet!!

Hopefully I will get some time between potty training to dig into this closet! I love it because it's so big but I really have to keep on top of it or it can really get a mess!

Sarah found that the average family does about 8-10 loads of laundry per week! Well I'm proud to announce that we're an above average family! HaHa ..At least in the laundry category, okay maybe that's not a category to be proud of... anyway I do closer to 15 loads a week for family of 6!

I'm curious how many loads do you do? To be fair mention how many people there are in your family too?

I didn't take any new pics because it really didn't look a lot different besides the counter and tub being clean. I managed to clean the walls, tub, sink area, floor, and of course toilet (yuk)!! Okay mark that one off my list, I'm done!!

Spring Cleaning --Kids Bathroom

This week I will be focusing on the Kids bathroom upstairs. It's a very small bathroom with a slanted roof. But it serves it purpose very well! Go here to get the complete assignment and to link up. We'd love to have you join in!!



I plan to wash the walls, floor, sink, and everywhere else. Clean up and try to organize their sink area better. I don't think this job will take real long since it's so small. We'll see!

Spring Cleaning--no more Snowmen

They're all gone! All my snowmen have been put away. That was my spring cleaning job for this week. You can go here to see my orginal post. Well actually I do have one more area to tackle hopefully later today. My curio cabinet still has my snowman dishes in it. But anyway almost all are put away and the kids helped me put a little springy touch on my year around tree. I love Spring!!

Spring Cleaning--Goodbye Snowmen!

This week is the Master Bedroom! I actually just did our master bedroom about a month ago, so I will be skipping out on this one. However I still have a job that I'll be tackling this week...

Put away all my snowmen!

Yes I really like to decorate with snowmen for the winter. I usually have them put away by the beginning of March. Well they're still out. Spring starts Friday so it is an absolute MUST to put all these little guys away!

I have them all throughout my house! Above is just a few of them.

I will update later in the week with the new springy decor!
