Something Fun....Treasure Hunt

My kids are always pretending to dig for treasure!
My 3 yr. old came in last week and said he
was just digging for treasure and
an idea popped into my head.
(It happens often and is sometimes scary!!! ha ... Anyway)

I took 2 big handfuls of change. Mostly pennies,
a few nickles, dimes, and quarters. Only around $2.00 total.
Then I took it to the sand box and buried it all over.
(took about 5 min.)
Then the treasure hunting was for real!!!
They had a blast and dug most the day
only to find around .75 cents worth...
Plenty of treasure hunting left for days to come!

Something fun, easy, and quick!!

Ooh, how fun! I once went on a group date in a huge park - each couple hid a bag of candy (maybe Hershy's treasures ... don't remember) and then made a treasure map to find it! (Go to the big tree, take 10 steps, turn left ...) Then we all took someone else's treasure map and were off to find our prizes! We met up to watch Pirats of the Caribbean and eat our treats. Fun, fun, fun! And a frugal date.
