In His Word Wednesday -- JOY

Fruits of the Spirit -- JOY

Proverbs 15:30
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart,
and good news gives health to the bones.

Acts 14:17
Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their season; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy."

Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Philippians 2:2
then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

No matter what life throws at us, we
can find joy in our Heavenly Father!

What has God been teaching you lately.
Do you have a prayer request?
Do you have a Bible verse that has stuck out to you?

You can just leave your link, words, or prayer request here as a comment. We'd love to know how to pray for you. If you don't want to elaborate just let us know you have an unspoken prayer request. We can still pray for you because God already knows!!

I have heard the verse about rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice! (can't remember the address). I am sure most of us have heard that verse. But it was brought to my attention that it is not a request from the Lord it is more of a command to rejoice always. Not just when life is good but even when it is hard. If I don't choose to rejoice in all things then I am disobeying God's Word. It isn't always easy to rejoice and find joy in ALL things but it is a choice I can make and strive for. Life is sooo much better when I choose to rejoice in all things and to find the joy in all circumstances. I don't always succeed in this (and often fail) but it is something I can strive for. Thanks for you daily encouragement.

Thanks Anoymous, Great verse! You're right it is a choice, and something we'll fail at but something to really strive for.

Everything God does is for a purpose good or bad so we should rejoice that his will is being done!

The story of the Widow and the Oil has really been sticking with me this week. Praise God that He provides for our needs. I wrote a blog post about it. If you would like to read it, my blog address is amyhartzellprice.blogspot.com. I would love to share!
