NOT WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK!!!
I just got some really good deals on
Easter Candy this week!!
Here's what I found!

At some store somewhere in the last month I found .50 cents/2
Cadbury egg coupons. I grabbed about 12 off the huge tear pad!
These came in handy this week because they were on sale 2/$1. plus
when you buy $10. worth you get $3. ECB!!
So I got 20 for $2.00
I also got the toothbrushes which gave me overage.
All totaled I spent $1.40 at CVS (I also used up 2 ECB)

Then at Rite Aid, Covergirl was on sale b1g1. Pair that
with the b1g1 MQ coupon to get them both free!
I had 3 coupons which meant 6 things of makeup FREE.
Better yet since that totaled around $48. I was able to use
a $3./$15. and got all the candy and makeup for $3.34 including tax!
****
I don't have a picture, but I also stopped in at Kroger
and spent $23.24 for a few essentials like milk, eggs, potatoes,
icecream, and several other items. (Yes icecream is essential!!)
That makes my total this week around $27.98
and the monthly total $81.57

Sunday's Coupon Inserts...
From Scratch...

Join Sarah over at 8-muddy boots to
let us know what you made "homemade" this week!
Here's my list!

My kids have gotten pretty used to having cinnamon rolls and we've
been out for a couple of weeks. So I made a point to make
another batch of these and freeze most of them!
We like to pull out 1 pan or so each week. This means I make them
every 5 weeks or so!

Wet Burritos...
I tried a new recipe and we all loved these!
***
I also made my normal
homemade bread for the week.
I will also most likely make some kind of dessert
to snack on before the week ends (probably Friday!)
Don't forget to go here and link up!

Wordless Wednesday -- She found it!!
I know it's a little strange for a
picture, but I had to!!

My daughter held up this pencil and said "Mom look what I found."
I said "what?"... She said "A pencil that is sharpened and has an eraser."
A rarity around here!
I'm sure other homeschooling families can share in her excitement!
((I won't mention that less than 5 minutes later, it was gone.
Seriously she couldn't find it anywhere.))
I'm not sure there's a real Tooth Fairy or Santa Clause,
BUT there is a REAL PENCIL THIEF!!!
Does he visit your house too???
In His Word Wednesday - Patience
Fruits of the Spirit -- Patience
Hebrews 12:6
We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Colossians 3:12
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
Ecclesiastes 7:8
The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.
Colossians 1:11
being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
This is a tough one! Well, all the fruits of the spirit are tough, but
this one really gets me! -- especially when it comes to the kids!
They just find a way to push all the buttons, ya know.....
But it's certainly one that, with God's
help we can all work on. (I know I can!)

You can just leave your link, words, or prayer request here as a comment. We'd love to know how to pray for you. If you don't want to elaborate just let us know you have an unspoken prayer request. We can still pray for you because God already knows!!Daily Dose

Wet Burritos

There were delicious!
They will definitely be added to our regular meal rotation!
Here's what I did...

Brown and season 1 pound of hamburger. Add 1
can of refried beans. Heat through and keep warm.
In a sauce pan make about 2 cups chili (without the beans or hamburger).
Add 1 can of tomato soup and 1 can of enchilada sauce.
(I used 2 cups of homemade salsa instead of the enchilada sauce)
Stir and heat through. Keep warm

Have tomatos diced up and lettuce cleaned.
Now you're ready to put them together...
1. Get a soft tortilla shell and put a spoonful of the
meat stuff on the tortilla: spread
2. Add lettuce and tomatoes.
3. Roll it up.
4. Put a generous amount of sauce on top.
5. Add shredded cheese and microwave for about 30 sec.
6. Add Sour Cream if desired. (I completely forgot to get it out!)

That's it... ENJOY!!
Everyone loved it, even my 11 yr. old and he doesn't like
anything with beans or sauce!!
It was extremely easy to do and only
took about 20 minutes to make!
(Would also make an excellent summer meal
since it requires no oven!!)
