Homemade Croutons!

I'm a little behind... I've never made Homemade Croutons
Until now!!! Here's how I did it.
If you've never done it,
IT'S SOOOO EASY!!!
((I really can't see buying croutons anymore as easy as this was!!))
I've been saving the ends of bread loaves for several months.
And putting them in the freezer.
Turns out that I only used 6 pieces of bread to make
my small batch of croutons so I could have done this some time ago!!

You can use any spices and/or herbs that sound good to you.
I mixed about 1/8 - 1/4 cup of olive oil
with a Seasoning Blend and Italian Seasoning.

Brush the oil mixture on both sides
of your bread.

Stack the bread and cut it to the size you like.
Spread it on a pan and bake at around
300 degrees for 35-45 minutes.

When it's done it should be crunchy and brown!
Let it cool completely and use within a week
or Freeze up to 6 months!!
I tried them and They were DELICIOUS!!
Hubby agreed they were awesome!!!

Let us know if you know some tricks for making Croutons
that I didn't mention!

i always use some butter in a cast iron skillet for mine...our favorite seasoning is garlic and parm cheese. i have used slice bread but i love to find bagguette(sp) bread on the mark down. it has the perfect texture and is dense enough to hold up well!! homemade croutons are the best!!

Use a pizza cutter to cut the bread into cubes. I love to eat them warm of the baking sheet - yummy!!!!
