Sweet and Sour Pot Roast

I bought a roast last week and wasn't sure how I was going to make it! I wanted to try something different...

To my surprise I received a package from Country Bob's today! Wow they sent me a awesome cookbook and a bunch of FREE product coupons! Country Bob's has went way above and beyond sending me some great products! They are a great company!
In looking through their cookbook, there are a ton of GREAT recipes. I hope to share more with you soon! Today I want to share the recipe for Sweet and Sour Pot Roast. I will be trying this one this week! It sounds soooo GOOD!!
Sweet and Sour Pot Roast
1 (3#) beef roast
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
12 small potatoes, peeled
1 cup chopped onion
1 (15oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce
2 Tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tsp. salt
Trim fat from the roast. Brown the roast in hot skillet on all sides.
Place the potatoes in a slow cooker. Place the browned roast on the potatoes.
Discard all but 1 Tablespoon drippings from the skillet. Saute the onion in the drippings until tender. Stir in the tomato sauce, brown sugar, Country Bob's Sauce, vinegar, and salt.
Pour over the roast and potatoes. cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours or until roast is tender.
Remove the roast and potatoes to a serving platter. Pour the sauce into a skillet. Cook over medium heat until thickened to the desired consistency, stirring frequently. Serve with the potatoes and roast.
Sounds Delicious!!
